For You…

For YouI made this anniversary card a couple of days ago but I just haven’t had a chance to post it.  It seems by the time I get home from work and do a few things, the evening is over and it is time to go to bed.  I must say I am enjoying the longer daylight hours in the evening, for whatever reason I am so much more production when the sun is shining.

My inspiration for my card came from Lili of the Valley’s BINGO Challenge this month.  To make my BINGO I used ribbon, pearls and flowers.  The past couple of day have been bright and sunny – the temps are even warming up so I chose to use some bright springy colors to dress up these two lovebirds.  Aren’t they just adorable all dressed up in the Sunday’s best?

So Sorry

For your loss.

So Sorry_edited-1Not very often I don’t use a stamp of some sort.  I used a variety of dies and different papers for my card – I chose blue as it is my favorite color and I think it is a nice soothing, calming color.

This is one of those cards where the camera just doesn’t capture the beauty of the card – I love all of the texture to this card from the felt doily to all of the die cuts and layers.

Plum Pudding

Mums the Word

As part of PaperTrey Ink’s 7th Birthday celebration, they are having a birthday challenge at Capture the Moment today.  All of the products I used for my card, ribbon, ink, cardstock, patterned are from PTI’s Plum Pudding Line.  I also used three different dies along with the stamp set Mums the Word. Lastly, they are asking that we take a photo of ourselves holding our card – my first selfie!  I should have been thinking of my background as you can see my messy ribbons everywhere!

My color inspiration came from this week’s color challenge at Colour Me….!  I don’t have Wisteria but I think Plum Pudding is a pretty close match.

If you haven’t seen it yet PaperTrey Ink is celebrating their 7th Birthday – Congratulations to PTI!  Today at Capture the Moment they have a challenge to grab 7 items and make a project in 17 minutes. Easy, right??? No, No, No!!! for me anyway.  I’m going to share with you my third attempt.  By the time I finished  – okay didn’t finish my first card, it was only half done by 17 minutes.  So off to my second card – I was done in 17 minutes and I counted my items and I used 8 items, I forgot to count my cardbase.  So starting on attempt number three I was bound and determined to make this one work.  I went super simple.  I used two sheets of cardstock, two sheets of patterned paper, one hello die and two enamel dots so hopefully my math is correct and that equals seven items.  All of the items I used are from PaperTrey Ink except the enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me!  Dee

It seems so often I go for the red and black combination for Valentine cards but I wanted to do something a bit different so I grabbed some pink cardstock and die cut the heart pattern – so surprise, no patterned paper used on this card (so out of the norm for me)!

Owl Always Love You

Love is in

My daughter loves owls so when I saw this stamp set from PaperTrey Ink, I knew I had to get it!  Today I’m using the stamps to make a Valentine card – I have a feeling I know who the recipient will be :-)  Capture the Moment  is having a Blog Hop today and the theme is Pink in Pink – doesn’t matter what theme you decide to use, it just needs to be Pink.  One of the things I appreciate about cling stamp sentiment is they are flexible as you can see I curved the sentiment to better fit the doily.

May the Fours be with You

No it’s not a typo – we want to see “4″ of something on your project!

Cupcake TowerToday wraps up the week long birthday celebration at Catch the Bug – can you believe it??? Bugaboo stamps is 4 years old!  One of the things I’ve appreciated about Bugaboo stamps through the past 4 years is Jodi’s generosity and providing to all of us a new, free digi each week.  If you’ve been lucky enough to have followed Bugaboo stamps for the past 4 years, you’ve amassed quite the collection of stamps just by saving all of the freebies!  Today the freebie is the cupcake tower – I used the image twice, flipping it once to balance the “4″candles in the center.

Stamp: Cupcake Tower – Bugaboo Stamps
Papers: A Fresh Start- Design House Digital (unfortunately, I don’t think this digi paper is available any longer)
Dies: Candles – PaperTrey Ink, Scalloped Stitched Lace Border – Doohickey
Embellishment: Stickles
