Crazy 4 Challenges this week is challenging us to use our “favorite” stamp set. I had to think long and hard as to which stamp set that would be – it’s like choosing who your favorite child is. But after a long deliberation….I decided my all-time favorite stamp set is Oh Crop from Here She Goes Stamps. Maybe it’s because I grew up on a farm and a lot of my relatives still live on a farm or have farming in the backgrounds but this is my go-to stamp set when making a card for them. This card is going to my brother whose birthday is on Halloween. Having one’s birthday on Halloween is just as bad as having a birthday on Christmas Day – no one want to come to your party so you have to celebrate it another day – needless to say, I didn’t want my card to have anything to do with a Halloween theme.
I used a variety of cardstock pieces leftover from other projects. I’ve been hesitant to try washi tape but I had a roll just setting out and thought this would be a great time to try it – wow, what a quick little burst of color it added! Other than that, no other embellishments were added. I embossed the background to the farm to give a bit of texture but that was about it – quick and easy!
Thanks for the visit! Dee

Happy Sunday! Have you ever had a stamp you wanted for a lo-o-ong time but never got around to using it once you had it? Well, that’s what happened to me with this super fun stamp set from There She Goes Stamps. I had a lot of fun putting this scene together – can’t wait to what else I can come up with in the future!
Hint: If your sentiment stamp doesn’t fit the area you want to place it – just cut it apart! Works like a charm!!!

It looks like spring is taking its time coming to North Dakota. Yesterday it teased us with temps in the upper 40’s but today it is back to the low 30’s with a chance of – so I dare say it? – SNOW! So much for hiding Easter Eggs outside this evening when the little ones come over.
The inspiration started with There She Goes Challenge sketch this week.
I always have fun coloring u[ the stamps from this stamp set – this is the first time I’ve used the clouds but I must say, I LOVE how whimsical they are!
Die: Sentiment Tag – Lil’ Inker Designs, Circles – Spellbinders to add a bit of interest, I paper-pierced around the embossed portion of the outer circle.

Ever need a Belated Birthday card? I hate to admit how often I do!
My inspiration started when I saw the sketch from There She Goes Stamps. I had my sketch and I decided to use one of my favorite color combinations; red, turquoise and black but I still had no idea what image I was going to use. I thumbed through my stamp sets when I ran across my TSG Oh Crop stamp set, I knew what to do. I inked up a couple of the little piggies and added them to the sentiment on the inside of the card!

Herd you were having a birthday! Isn’t this stamp set from There She Goes Clear Stamps just the most adorable thing ever??! This stamp set is so versatile, no designer paper needed. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the backgound and my trusty scallop border punch from EK Success. I also used dies from PaperTrey Ink and Memory Box for the clouds and the sentiment was diecut using pennant dies from Spellbinders. It was so-o-o much fun to color these stamps!

I almost forgot!
If I’m being totally honest, I was thinking my bother-in-laws birthday was Friday, but no – I just realized it is today. Guess who’s getting their birthday card a bit late? I think when he sees how cute this card is he’ll forgive me.
It’s harvest time here in the midwest, farmers are working long days getting their crops in the bins – hopefully my BIL takes a few minutes to enjoy his special day!

Welcome to Christmas Card Challenges new challenge for this week – use something new. Did you just get some new stamps you haven’t had a chance to ink up yet? Or maybe some new papers or new embellishments you just purchased and you can’t wait to use. I hope you’ll play along with us I’d love to see your creations!
I’m really into digi papers and the lovely background paper is just that. For my new element, I’m using stamps from There She Goes stamps – I colored them and then trimmed them out and adhered them to the digi paper making a lovely winter scene. The sentiment is also a stamp from the Wonderful Winter Wishes collection.
