TREE-mendous

You’ve been TREE-mendous, Thank You !

I received the image for this week’s challenge at Designed 2 Delight this morning and I couldn’t wait to use it but I forced myself to get caught up on all of my other household chores first.  Now I won’t feel guilty playing for the rest of the weekend.   It’s a four-day weekend for me as Monday is President’s Day – Yeah!

I took the image and used it three separate times, flipping the image on the right.  One of the great things about digital images is you can flip, resize, manipulate it to fit the size of the card you’re making.  I also too the image and colored the background using Photoshop Elements, leaving the birds to be hand colored.  I added some touches of color to the hills using copic markers.

I added the sentiment prior to printing the digital image and also highlighted the sentiment outlining the words with copic markers.

I printed the images again, this time on to green and then again brown cardstock.  I then paper-;ieced the cutout pieces onto the pre-colored image to give the card some depth.  I used a green glitter gel pen on the trees for more added dimension.

I added some Baker’s Twine and a button to the bottom of the card to give it give it a completed look.
