Pearls and Lace

I just love this time of year when the summer fruits become available.  One of my favorite fruits is strawberries.  I enjoy them in a fresh fruit salad, dipping them in fruit dip (you know the one made with cream cheese and marshmallow creme, yumm!) and of course there is always strawberry pie.  In a couple of weeks the rhubarb should be ready for picking and the combination of strawberries and rhubarb are the perfect flavor combo – the sweet and sour.

Okay, now for the reason you probably stopped by – my card 😉  For the next two weeks our challenge at Digi Design House is “Pearls and Lace”.  For my card I’m using images from the Strawberry Tea stamp set at DDH.  I colored the images with copic markers.  The smaller image (strawberries on the stem) is more muted due to coloring the image on a pink cardstock but I think it still looks nice.  I added the sentiment prior to printing the image.

Do you see the small pearls I added to the flowered ribbon?  The pearls really make the ribbon pop.  The DP is from the Sweet paper pad by DCWV, all of the little strawberries are glittered up, so sparkly.
