Technique Tuesday

Today at Digi Design House we are sharing our favorite digi techniques with you.

One of my favorite techniques is digi masking – SO easy with digi’s.  Basically all I do is take the image I’m going to use and make a shape that is all white and overlay it on to the digi image to mask (cover up) the part of the image I want to place another digital image or in this case text.

How gorgeous is this pansy?  It will be released soon.  The butterfly is from the same stamp set.  Another digi technique I like to use is to resize the image to fit the card better. I printed the image on colored cardstock – if you’ve never tried this, it’s a lot of fun – even less shading is needed.  I printed the image on lavendar cardstock and trimmed around it.  I then cropped and used just the pansy and printed it again, this time just a bit smaller to layer on top of the base flower.  I did the same with the leaves.

The frame was made using a Martha Steward border and corner punch.  I adde rhinestones to the center of the flower and glitter to the butterfly for some added sparkle.

Stop back again tomorrow!  Dee
