Happy Hamiversary

He! He!  I grew up on a farm where my dad planted grain and raised pigs.  Somewhere along the line, my family started to collect pigs.  Pig bread baskets, stuffed pigs, if it had a pig on it – my parents collected it.  When we were at a loss for a gift, as long as it had a pig on it we were good to go.

Welcome to another challenge from Digi Design House.  Our hostess for this challenge is Stephanie and she chose to use dry embossing on our submission.  I love using embossing folders – such a quick and easy technique to add just that needed element to add “pop” to one’s cards.

When I saw the stamp set Hillbilly Hogs, I knew I was going to use it as soon as I could.  My brother and his wife recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary so I made this card for them.

I used two different embossing folders to make my card.  As most you may know, I like to make 5X7 (A7) cards – using the standard embossing folders can make this a bit more tricky but luckily Provo does make a few larger embossing folders.

I coloredthe digi stamps with copics and cut out the images popping them up on the mats with foam dots.

I added a bit of twine – perfect for a farm theme and a sunflower; after all I think of sunflowers as a farm flower.  The sentiment is computer generated.
