Spook-tacular

In just a little more than 2 weeks it will be Halloween.  I have a little secret to confess and I have a feeling I’m not the only guilty of this;-)  A couple of weeks ago a bought a large bag of miniature candy bars when I was at Sam’s – well they are almost gone, but I did have a bit of help!

Purple, Orange, Green and Black just scream Halloween to me and that is the challenge this week at Just us Girls.  The layout is from Scrappekammeret’s Sketch Challenge

I modified the sketch just slight making an A7 card rather than a square card.  After making my last square card, I realized I’m out square envelops – not sense in making a square card if I can’t give it to someone.  I just used scraps of cardstock to make the colored border – it pays to saves those bits of paper sometimes.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the white background.  The ribbon is a perfect match for the papers.  Do you recognize the stamp?  It’s three of the images from the Har Repotter collection from Bugaboo Stamps.  The challenge at Catch a Bug this week is animal antics, I think Fang qualifies as does Hedwig even if he is an owl.  I added the sentiment prior to printing the image.  Lollipop Crafts is also having a Critter Challenge.

I used Stickles to dot the scalloped mat behind the image – great way to add a bit of sparkle to a card.  Lastly I used a ‘b’ sticker and added two googly eye to spell Boo!
