We had rain today! Yeah!!! Not snow but rain! Not only that our new grand-daughter was born this morning – it is truly a day to celebrate. Mommy is resting so I’m taking a few minutes to work on a card I promised to make a co-worker.
I’m using a set of stamps, Easter Egg Hunt, from from Forever Friends. I can’t take much credit as I CASE’d this card – I think it is just adorable, thanks for the inspiration Katarina.
I loved the color challenge from Paper Sundaes – just look at these gorgeous spring colors! I colored the image with my trusty copics. I flicked in the grass to fill in some of the white space. I added Martha Stewart glitter glue to the egg and butterfly wings.
The DP is from The Paper Studio – love the springy colors of the plaid, just perfect for this color challenge. I know it is hard to tell but I used the cut out pennant as a template for the matting and propped the pennant on the matting for a 3-D effect which perfect for the challenge at Forever Friends.
I just got this border punch from Martha Stewart and wanted to try it out – it is similar to her other lace border punch but with a bit more detail. I used my other punch so many times that it actually broke on me. I added a few rhinestones but a bit of springy bling.
As always, thanks for stopping – gotta run and give our new grand-baby some hugs! Dee
