Hexagon Craze

It seems like wherever I look, I see something that has hexagons on it.  Last Month PaperTrey Ink released a die that cuts hexagons and leaves this faboulous outline to fill as desired.  My first attempt is not perfect but I tried to make a rosette quilt pattern using three different colors; Plum Pudding, Sweet Blush and Spring Moss.

One of the nice things about this die is you can fill it as little or as much as you would like.  Just a few dots of color here and there would be really cute – talk about a great way to use up those scraps of paper we can’t seem to throw away!

One of the drawbacks (for me) is this die is designed for those that make the A5 size cards.  I make 5×7″ cards so centering the image looked a bit weird so I off-set it and added the buttons and I think that really helped to make the layout more visually appealing.

Paper: All PaperTrey Ink

Stamps: Fillable Frames

Dies: Fillable Frames,  Hexagon – PTI, Oval – Spellbinders
