Christmas is…

love with all the trimmings!

Happy Sunday!  Today we have a really fun challenge for you at Christmas Card Challenges – “Texture”.  I used liquid applique to add texture to the hat and felt to give the leaves a bit of a tactile feel.  I also did some paper piecing – I find this a nice way to add some patterns to clothing.

Other ways to add texture would be to use a glittered paper or use some embossing either wet or dry, add a few buttons or brads – so many possibilites.  But as always, the theme is just a suggestion – you can enter any project as long it fits the Holiday/Christmas/Winter/Hanukkah theme.

Paper: Merry Christmas Too – Nitwit Digital Papers

Image: Pollycraft

Sentiment: Create with TLC

Die Cuts: Circle, Scalloped Circled – Spellbinders, Holly Leaves – PaperTrey Ink

Embellishments: Liquid Applique, Rhinestones

I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for this week’s Texture challenge – I can’t wait to see what you create!!!  Dee
