Winter Rudi

RudiHello!  I actually had some time to play today in my craft room and here is my second holiday card I made today. I opted to use my favorite holiday color combination – aqua and red. I love the softer look of the aqua instead of emerald green. Just a quick post as I really do need to get a few thing done around the house, it’s just so easy to play instead of do housework 🙂

Let it Snow

let it snow copyCan you believe it is September already???  Last year at this time I had almost all of my holiday cards made.  This year I have but a handful ready to go.  No stamps used on this card.  I used a few of the digi elements found in the Snow Princess collection to make the scene – quick and easy.  I added sticles to the snow on the branches to give the image more of a 3-D apprearance.

FTHS January Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop and the theme is Winter.   Here in North Dakota we are definitely experiencing winter, so much so that when I woke up this morning it is -25 degrees F.  I have just one word for it BURRRR!  I don’t even think we are supposed to get above zero today – from what the weatherman is forecasting, there will be a lot of people experiencing the cold here in the US.  So with it being so cold and not being able to do much outdoors, I can’t think of anything better to do but join us for our Blog Hop.  Grab a cup of coffee or a nice steaming mug of hot chocolate and visit all of the wonderful DT’s stunning creations.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win the image that the designer used. And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $5 gift voucher to the store!

If you have arrived from Angela , you are in the right place, I just love the color palette she used; f not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

Here is my project, using Winter Dog Walk.

Warm Hooliday Wishes

Hoo, Hoo, Hoo

Are you ready for the holidays?  I have a few gifts yet to purchase but I think I’ll get those tomorrow and then all I need to do is wrap them and place them under the tree.  It seems each year I scale back more and more.  I don’t bake as much as I used to and I’ve found that it’s okay to have just one wonderful dessert instead of a tray full of various cookies and candies.

We have a super easy challenge for the next two weeks at Di’s Digi Designs – Anything Christmas!  Do you have a last minute card you’d like to share with us, a tag for a gift or a special gift you made?  We’d love to see it!  My daughter loves owls and when I saw this adorable image, I just knew I had to color it up for her and her family to enjoy.  I opted for a clean and simple look to my card.  I used several textures to add interest to the card; glitter, flower soft and puff paint – love the dimension these add!

Our FABULOUS Sponsor this fortnight is CRAFTY RIBBONS  (Winner pays shipping if any).

http://www.craftyribbons.com/

Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration – then have a look at our projects on their blog,or visit our Inspiration blog,or maybe join in with them at their Challenge blog.  Go on, have a look… It’s worth it !

Mutts Winter Friend

I’m just tickled to be a Guest Designer this week at Crafty Ribbons.  The challenge is an Anything Goes, can’t get much easier than that!  Di’s Digi Designs is sponsoring this week’s challenge.  As part of the Digi Design Design Team I’m getting the chance to feature one of Di’s super cute images for my project.

To make the snowflake sparkle, I took a diecut snowflake and dabbed it with VersaMark, sprinkled it with Heat and Stick Powder and heated it until it melted and while it was still wet – sprinkled it with ultrafine glitter.  Heat set the powder to make the glitter adhere – makes for one sparkly snowflake!
