Flowers for Mom

Wow! Where did the day go?  I had planned to do so many things but I only managed to get a few of them done.  I did get this card done – Priorities you know 🙂

I started with this sketch from Sketch and Stash.  Earlier in the week I had colored this image so I was looking for a sketch that I could use a square image and this sketch was perfect for it.  This adorable image is a digi stamp from Di’s Digidownloads.

I decided to make this a Mother’s Day card, hoping to get a head start on a few cards.  I didn’t have a nice sentiment so I decided to make a sentiment, it’s nothing spectacular but if you like it feel to grab it!

The challenge at Digi Designs is to Lace and Pearls, if you look closely you’ll see I added a small flat-backed pearl on the punched boder in each of the flower centers.  I added a thin ribbon to the top of the lace to pull the yellow color in a bit more.

I embossed the background using a Stampin Up embossing plate.  The DP, Fairy Flora, is from a paper pad by Prima – I’ve been hoarding this gorgeous paper for over a year and I’m breaking down and using it.  All in all, I think this card turned out pretty darn cute!
