I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! As always, this one seemed to fly by. I had a three-day weekend and it seemed like I still didn’t have enough time to get everything done around the house that I wanted to. I did get a Halloween costume made for my littlest grandson – he’s going to be a football! I’m hoping to get a few photos to share with everyone.
Yesterday was spent running errands and today I got to watch the Minnesota Vikings win a close game with the Carolina Panthers. I started off the morning making a big batch of chili. I love eating a big bowl of chili while watching football – a great combination in my book.
I did find a bit of time to make a card before the kids came over to spend the day but I’m just getting around to posting now that the house is quiet and the toys are all put away.
I started off with this sketch from Papertake Weekly. I’m using one of images from Digi Stamp Boutique’s Cute Christmas Offer set of stamps. Isn’t Rudi adorable? I colored the image using copics. After coloring the tree, I addded white applique and sprinkled prism glitter over the wet paint before heat setting the snow.
The DP is My Mind’s Eye I Believe “Trees” paper. This double sided paper worked perfectly with this sketch challenge, I just folded over the corner to reveal the reverse side of the paper.
I made the sentiment and saved it as a png file – feel free to enjoy this freebie, all I ask is that you link back to me if you do as I’d love to see what you create with it!
For trims I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the bottom border. A sheer ribbon and bow were added for the side element. A corner embellishment from Wild Orchid was added to complete the card.
Thank you for stopping by – I hope you have a wonderful week! Dee
