Howdy!

I had a wonderful weekend! My sister flew up from Houston and surprised my daughter with a baby shower.  It was so-o-o much fun to see all of the pink!  I’ll never be able to thank my sister enough for all the planning she did to make my daughter feel so special.

Earlier in the week my son asked if we could watch the two grandsons so he and his wife could go out for dinner.  Of course I said yes.  Then I thought if two of the boys are spending the night, why not have the other two grandsons spend the night too – that way both of the parents could have a bit of time to themselves.  My sister loves the boys and this gave her a bit more time to spend with them too.  A win-win for everyone!

Being around 4 boys was the inspiration for this card.  The very first digital stamp I ever purchased was this image from Bugaboo.  I fell in love with digi’s and since that time my digi collection has grown tremendously.

I used the color palette from Critter Sketch‘s challenge and the sketch from Papertake Weekly for this card.

I used several different embossing folders for each of the layers.  The border strip was made using an EK Success start border punch and layering it atop of an orange strip of cardstock and matting it with a navy mat.  I used a couple of the punch outs and used them as embellishments.  The sentiment is a digi stamp from Bugaboo.
