Flower Pocket

Flower Pocket 7

Have you seen the new Friday Freebie from Bugaboo Stamps?  I love tulips, for me they are a sign that spring is here – I can hardly wait to see them peeking out of the ground!

I used one of my favorite techniques on this card – I layered my image onto a piece of digi paper prior to printing.  This makes for a nice clean card and no fussy cutting needed!  To do this technique you will need an image in a .png or .wf format.  The .png images still need to have the image with a white fill and the outline is transparent – hope that makes sense.  I think overall my card style is clean and layers – I add a few embellishments here and there but I don’t go over the top with them.  I just really appreciate how the image is the focal piece of the card.  Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE those card with all of the embellishments!  I just have never figured out how to make them as pretty as others do.  As far as clean and simple, they may look simple but they are the hardest card in the world for me to do and forget doing a card with no layers, I just can’t do it.  So what’s your style?  What type of card do you like to see?  What’s your favorite style of card to make?

Love the shading on your bold tulips – a sure sign of spring (ours are still under about 3 feet of snow! lol!) Thanks for joining us at the Card Concept!
