Christmas Wish

In just a few days we will be celebrating Christmas with our children and their families.  As one of my grandson’s pointed out the other day – it was Christmas.  I tried to explain to him that just because there were presents under the tree, it wasn’t Christmas.  His reply was but it’s snowing outside so it is Christmas.  It definitely looks like Christmas outside this morning as we received a fresh blanket of snow last night, everything look clean and white outside.

Joys of Christmas

Today is one of those magical days 12-12-12.  Have you ever thought of how much we use the number of 12; the hours of the day, the months of the year, you receive a dozen of roses, I could go on…

For me, I could use another month this year!  I started my holiday cards early this year so I wouldn’t be scrambling at the last minute.  I thought I was all done with my card making but when one of my brothers bought almost half of my stash, I’m just about done replenishing my collection of holiday cards.

Sketch with a Color Twist

By now you all know how much I enjoy a good sketch challenge – I tend to get in a rut designing the layout of my cards so I really appreciate all of the sketch challenges.  I have my favorite colors so I really like color challenges too.  Now combining a sketch and color challenge together – that really is a challenge (for me anyway)!

My card is using this week sketch from The Sugar Bowl and the colors are from the optional twist.

I would have never put these colors together for a card but you know what… they really do work well together.
